Hole Only Box

Here are some specs for a Hole Only style box.   This would be similar to the “Air Mail” style of box that is commonly seen lately at tournaments.   Place the Cornhole Box approx. 30 feet from the throwing mark. This would simulate the distance where the hole would be if normal boards were placed 27 feet apart.  These instructions are currently untested, but should work.

Materials:

  • The material used is 1/2″ or 3/4″ plywood

Measurements:

  • Top: 16″ by 16″, square
  • Back: 11″ by 16″
  • Front: 9 1/4″ by 16″
  • 2 Sides: Short edge is 9 1/4″ / opposite Long edge is 11″    Base edge is 14 1/2″ long   ( see graphic )
  • Base: 20 1/2″ square
  • Hole:  The hole has to be 6″ in diameter, as is standard for any Cornhole board.

Notes:

  • The slant sits at a roughly 13-13.5 degree angle.

Illustration of angles as based on the “Air Mail” box that’s on the market.
