PVC Drink Table/ Score Table By JPLarson

  • 1-6’ piece of 1/2″ PVC
  • 1-26’’ piece of 1/2″ PVC
  • 2 -8’’ pieces of 1/2″ PVC
  • 2- 31.5’’ pieces of 1/2″ PVC
  • 1-13’’ piece of 1/2″ PVC
  • 4 – “L” ½ inch PVC connections
  • 2- “T” ½ inch PVC connections
  • 2 – 1 ¼ screws
  • 1 piece of rope 30 inches long (1/4 or 3/8 poly works great)
  • 1 candle and a way to light the candle
  • One piece of scrap lumber. Mine is 18’’x 9 ¼’’
  • ***3/4″ PVC can be used instead of 1/2″ PVC***

Step 1.

Preparing to bend PVC Mark the center of the 6’ and 26’’ section with pencil.

Take one piece and hold it over the flame about 2 inches and rotate it in your hands until you start to see a buldge. Be sure to keep twisting the PVC over the flame. Remove from flame once you start to see a slight buldge bend to a 45 degree angle.

Repeat process with second piece. 45 degrees is fairly important. The angle will help keep the PVC in your boards by pressure and will also stand up better. Set up a guide to use as a reference point. You only have a few seconds while the PVC is still soft enough to move around.

(Note here. If you are too close to the flame it will melt or turn black. It will only take a few seconds. You might want to practice with a scrap piece. You will have a short piece left over you can practice with after you make your cuts.)

Step 2.

Making the Base and Upright Glue “L” connections to bent 6’ section. Make sure they are perpendicular to the floor Before gluing “T” section put a small hair tie on one leg of the bent PVC. Choose a color that will be part of your board design or bag color. On the other bent leg add the opposite color. Glue “T” connections to bent 26’’ section. Make sure these perpendicular to the floor Glue 31.5 pieces to the bottom of the “T”

Step 3.

Making the Beverage Holder Connect 13’’ piece with “L” to 8” pieces. Screw wood into “L” connection pieces. Wood should match up with cut end of 8’’ pieces.

Step 4.

Keeping the base secure Tie and overhand knot in piece of rope. Measure 22’’ from the outside of the loop and make another overhand knot. Cut off excess rope

Step 5.

Assembly Lay 6 foot section on floor. Place rope over two “L” connections to secure the base. Place Upright into base Add beverage holder Use a ruler and permanent markers and place a mark every centimeter on the upright bent section. Roll down the hair tie to correct score. Place your beverage on the wood while throwing bags. Enjoy a friendly game of cornhole and not have to put beverage on the ground or lose track of the score.
